Jesus Followers Ministries

We are a non denominational Christian church that encourages each person to have their own personal ministry because our Lord Jesus Christ says faith without works is dead; thus our name Jesus Followers Ministries. 

 We  consider ourselves to be a “cross” between a Pentecostal holiness church with a mix of Messianic Judaism that has Hebrew roots, but without the man made doctrines and legalism of any denomination that plagues most all of our churches today. 

 Here at Jesus Followers Ministries, we don’t follow the leading of men in our services or our lives, we follow the leading of the Spirit. We desire to be like Jesus as much as we can.  Therefore, our ultimate goal is to live up to higher standards and be separate from the world….unlike the ear tickling life churches of today, we call sin, sin. 

 Since we try to pattern our lives after Jesus, we also try to follow the pattern that He and His apostles set up regarding church services.  We use the book of Acts as our guide instead of manmade rules, laws, and other nonsense. Unlike most all churches of today, we try to follow that simple pattern that was left for us by Jesus Christ and His apostles. Just as it is with anything else, the pride of man has polluted God’s word and the church. Because of that, we try to pull down and expose the false traditions and teachings that man has built up in our churches over the centuries just as Jesus did with the Scribes and Pharisees of His day.

 Understand we do NOT consider ourselves to be holier than anyone. We also do not consider ourselves to be better than anyone.  Our Bible teaches that we are ALL sinners and have ALL fallen short of the glory of God, and that includes us; as it did the apostles of Jesus’ day as well, for we all fight against committing sins and different lusts of the flesh.  Even Paul himself said he had to fight against the very nature of sin as explained in Romans 7.

 Our desire is to preach the TRUTH of God without compromise so that we can be a people that God can be proud of.  As the bible tells us in 1 Peter 2:9,  “…We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that we may declare the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His wonderful light.”  We DO NOT preach for personal gain, numbers, and especially not for the acceptance of this world for the word of God says do not be conformed to this world.  We have a passion for truth and righteousness; therefore, that is what we preach.  If you would like to know more about what we believe, please see our “What we Believe” section.
